"For this reason, since the day we heard about you, we have not stopped praying for you and asking God to fill you with the knowledge of his will through all spiritual wisdom and understanding."
A new fire has been lit inside of us recently! Yesterday it seemed God was showing us there's more to be done with every single turn!!! We were able to help a sweet lady in a parking lot. She had all her belongings in a shopping cart. She was meandering and seemed extremely tired. Thankfully, we travel prepared, and gave her a Book of John, and some bus fare. It may not have been much, but unfortunately we didn't have a completed bag with us. Today, I filled a bag, and it is now in the back of my car.
In addition, I found a sweet lady who works at a local Christian bookstore, and also is very active within the community! She was able to offer some insights into additional things needed by our local homeless community, and was full of information on other places to find those in need!
Last, I have reached out to a lady in Plano, TX for guidance. It is my goal (S) to open a food kitchen that not only offers food to homeless and needy individuals, but one that also offers special sack meal plans for kids throughout the summer time. These meals will be distributed daily (the children's meals), as I know ALL TOO WELL how hungry a child can get during summer break if they don't have solid parental support.
